Cornell engineering student GlennMajor: computer science

Why you choose Cornell Engineering?
I chose to attend Cornell University for its connections within the technology industry, the diverse, welcoming student body, and most importantly for its knockout campus. In my time here, I have found Cornell to have brilliant, enthusiastic professors who help motivate me to become a great student. I have also found lifelong friends. Cornell has such a unique student body that no matter your interests, you will feel like you have a place. The surrounding nature in Ithaca and on Cornell’s campus itself is also breathtaking. Only at Cornell is your morning walk to class over a gorgeous waterfall and gorge extending through the rest of campus.

What is your favorite thing about Cornell Engineering?
My favorite thing about Cornell Engineering is, although classes can be quite large, especially your first year, you are far from being just a number.  No matter the size of my classes, I could always find help from professors, TA’s, or fellow students. Cornell Engineering prioritizes every student’s success to make them feel comfortable and engaged.

What do you do outside of the classroom?
Outside the classroom I am involved in many other clubs on campus including Cornellians for Israel, Cornell Elderly Partnership, Hillel, and Association of Computer Science Undergraduates.  I am also a part of Greek Life and hold a board position in my fraternity.
