Meet David

Major: biomedical engineering
Hometown: Long Island, NY

Why did you choose Cornell and/or Cornell Engineering?
I choose Cornell Engineering because of the hands-on experiences it provides engineers. Without a doubt, some of the leading research in their respective fields are being done at Cornell, which I wanted to immerse myself in. But also, as an engineer, being able to work on project team, although more juvenile was infinitely more helpful to developing myself personally and professionally.

What is your favorite thing about Cornell and/or Cornell Engineering?
For my major specifically, I like that I take a variety of classes in difference engineering specialties while still working within my requirements. No one really only has one interest (if you do you are really lucky) so being able to explore and mix and match your interests is really cool.

How did you get involved outside the classroom?
Cold email. Send in applications. Go talk to professors in the offices (haven’t personally tried this). Just do something and you can probably get involved in whatever you want.
