Why did you choose Cornell and/or Cornell Engineering?
I chose Cornell and Cornell Engineering because of the size. There is both a breadth and depth of knowledge here. I knew that Cornell Engineering would have every field I want to explore no matter how niche. And whatever field I chose Cornell would be world class in it.

What is your favorite thing about Cornell and/or Cornell Engineering?
My favorite think about Cornell Engineering is the culture of teamwork and involvement. You can find a group to help you with anything here from homework to career exploration. Cornell Engineers are very personable, and you see them involved in many things around campus. I don’t think we fit typical engineer stereotypes at all!

How did you get involved outside the classroom?
I’m a part of the Cornell University Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (CUAUV) project team. There I get a lot of hands on experience you don’t necessarily get in class. I’m a Cornell Tradition fellow so I do volunteer work around campus too. Lastly, I’m always at National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) events; it’s a great organization that allows me to stay connected with people like myself.
