Cornell’s Society of Black Engineers Is Here to Help
Founded in 1977, the National Society of Black Engineers – Cornell University (NSBE-CU) is the premier organization for black students in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) majors at Cornell. Our mission is to increase the number of black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and come together to support and inspire one another.
We are here for you in dozens of ways. Throughout your four years as a Cornell Engineer, we will:
- invest in your personal and professional success with leadership trainings and mentoring opportunities
- support you academically by offering free tutoring and review sessions
- connect you with faculty, staff, and alums who will help move you forward toward your engineering goals.
Perhaps most importantly, our NSBE members will become your friends, mentors, colleagues, and a constant source of inspiration for you. NSBE represents the best of Cornell Engineering; we succeed because we work together and care for one another.
